What is the best girth for a girthy horse?

My horse isn't dangerous to cinch, I just had to walk with her while I'm doing it. But I want to stop this. So what is the best kind of girth? Right now she's using nothing special, just leather. Do you think fleece would make a huge difference? (I have no way to try it out before buying so I need to know.) Also, any tips at all??
