Why is this not hypocritical? In the US when the police shoot an unarmed man alledgedly reaching for a gun...?

If I was on the SEAL team the safety of me and my comrades would come first. That means when the door comes busting down anyone not lying face first on the floor gets shot, period. You don't have to actually wait till they pull out a gun and shoot you to protect yourself.
