Terminator question: two identical pens which ones do they chose to use.?

I'm sure there are people IRL who would be just as stymied by that kind of choice. Seriously though, that's such a specific "in the lab" type situation that would probably be covered in a Terminator's decision-making, whether by random choice or other process.
