Is there still a chance that the Roman Catholic Church could schism again in the near future?

The current Pope seems to be intent in taking the Church backward in time, which in turn seems to be dividing the Catholic Church along librel/conservative lines. Consevative Anglicans are even converting to Catholicism--is there a chance that a new, progressive "Catholic" church could arise?
