So my prom date bailed yesterday.. where do I go from now?

so as you can expect im pretty pissed, he calls and basically sounds really apologetic saying he's been to 2 proms already and his mom isnt paying for anymore, and he has no job, boo hoo so i say ok and just hang up, i sit there for like 10 minutes just emotionless, I don't know weather to scream yell or just cry, so i call my best friend and she's asking me why im not talking, and I just burst into tears, I really liked this guy ALOT and he just let me down.. I don't wanna take anyone else.. I dont even wanna go to prom anymore..
